About Speedy's
Edwin (a.k.a. Speedy) and Nidia George started business in the early 1960's with only one taxi cab. Then, from their front yard, they started Virgin Gorda's first driving school.
In the late 60's, they imported three mini mokes for rental, and in 1974 the first safari bus was taking visitors on Island Tours.
Speedy's first ferry, 'Adventure', did a variety of ferry runs. It offered a weekly shopping trip to St. Thomas, acted as a 'Water Ambulance', and performed Coast Guard rescues.
Since then Speedy's has grown steadily and now offers a wide range of car/Jeep rentals and operate a busy fleet of Safari Buses. Newer bigger ferries have joined the fleet ensuring a comfortable and reliable inter island scheduled service.
Still very much a family business, Speedy's continue to give the same friendly and efficient service as always.
